Osteria Marzia

The restaurant is very nicely decorated and located in a boutique hotel a little lost in Wan Chai in front of a freeway. Clearly not a prime location for HK Service was top notch, made by a very motivated team and a full show was organised during the Sunday lunch We ordered a 1kg REAL Mediterranean seabass with zucchini’s and 2 small starters, a glass of white wine and 2 bottles of water, 2 expressos (total was USD 345) It was clearly the best seabass we tasted in HK and we know a lot of places that serve some (or pretend to) Though the lunch was totally overpriced for the food we had… Will we return : yes of course but not often…and maybe more for a birthday that for a casual lunch ;)

Excellent Italian Dining Experience I recently had the pleasure of dining at Osteria Marzia in Hong Kong and it was a truly fantastic experience. From the moment we walked in, we were impressed by the beautiful setting and attention to detail. The food was absolutely exceptional - we indulged in a range of dishes, including the Gambero Rosso: Sicilian red prawn, the Insalata Mista: mixed leaves with agrodolce dressing, and the Linguine Ai Ricci with both Mediterranean and Japanese sea urchin and garlic. We also savored the broccolini with garlic, anchovy, and chili. For the fish course we opted for the sea bream prepared in a Sicilian way with fennel and orange. And the white Tiramisu for dessert was the perfect finish to an outstanding meal. What really set this restaurant apart, however, was the service. Our server Raquel was amazing, and the staff as a whole demonstrated a level of attentiveness and professionalism that made the experience truly exceptional. The complimentary limoncello was a lovely way to cap off an already memorable evening. Overall, I cannot recommend Osteria Marzia highly enough. It was definitely one of the highlights of our Hong Kong trip and I would definitely suggest making a reservation as soon as possible to ensure you don't miss out on this incredible dining experience.

Price is on the high side and even water is chargeable at hkd98+ per head. Luckily food quality and taste and service didn't disappoint. The location and view however is the main reason i wouldn't return. It's right next to a ramp bridge thing so you constantly see cars and buses driving pass or waiting in jam and the restaurant is in front of some shop lots with no views at all. There are other places with same or less prices but giving you the nice views of Hk city skyline and the Victoria harbour.

We've been visiting Osteria Marzia almost every month for about 4 years now and it's the most consistently excellent restaurant throughout this entire time. The regular dishes like the Chitara are superb and the team make great use of seasonal products to vary the menu with perfectly crafted specials. The service is the perfect balance of professional and personal and you're always made to feel welcome in a truly authentic way. Thanks to the new team, who are taking the lead now seamlessly and delivering an experience as excellent as flawless as the food. You make our day!

I had a lovely experience here, the Italian food is authentic and delicious. The atmosphere is intimate, cosy and relaxing; the hosts were very tentative and patiently explains the menu, dishes and overall leads a good time for the guests. The foods are southern italian based, with theme of sea food and a lot of fish choices. They’re all very delicate and flavourful, beautifully plated. Especially enjoyed the main sea bass, and starter of sword fish which were off the menu but recommended to us. Paired with white wine, the meal is a delight. Dessert included generous portion of tiramisu and gelato, which were not too heavy paired with the traditional italian lemon shots(?). To conclude, it is lovely and highly recommend it.

The place was quite popular. Had high expectations given the price. The lobster Chitarra was flavourful and al dente. Whereas the frutti di mare was plain, nothing special yet pricey. Should have ordered the fish. It was kind of weird cause we ordered the fish initially and the waiter told us the portion was rather small. Yet this shellfish dish wasn’t too big either. The cannoli crusts were good and flaky but the fillings had sandy texture. Not very satisfied with the food to be honest. Service okay, they were quite busy. Nice ambiance.

Nice environment with fitting Italian music. Very clean, except for the two flies who kept haunting us because the door was open. For the food, our favorite was the hamachi, highly recommend - very different from how other restaurants do it. Nicely seasoned octopus and salmon. The lobster pasta was good however would like the sauce to be thicker and stronger with the lobster flavor. For dessert, we had the traditional Napoletana cake which is quite unique. Nice to try but perhaps not our cup of tea. Ice cream on the other hand was much better than expected. Probably due to it being freshly churned. The service was exceptional. All in all, a great meal, with great service!!!
